Volunteers assessing if the island could be moved
Fall 2005 - A group of volunteers went to the Scribner to see if the island could be moved back to the west shore of the Scribner. It was lodged on the sandbars in the river and could not be moved without danger of it breaking apart. It remains lodged in the opening to Great East Lake.
