Acton Wakefield Watersheds Alliance (AWWA) to Continue Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) to Address Erosion Issues
We are currently looking for property owners who would like to participate in the YCC erosion control projects for the summer of 2007. We need interested parties to contact us by now, so we can proceed in the spring.
Please check for erosion problems on your property during spring melt or heavy rains. Perhaps we can help you solve your erosion problems with a beautiful and environmentally friendly solution, at relatively little cost to you.
You may qualify to participate in this program if:
1. You own property in Wakefield or Acton.
2. Storm water runoff is causing erosion from your property into a lake or stream.
3. You would like to get some technical advice to help solve your erosion problems and either do it yourself or possibly be chosen as one of the YCC projects.
4. If chosen as a YCC project, you are willing to pay for plants and materials to implement the design, and you are willing to let AWWA publicize your project to increase awareness of this program.
If you have questions or would like more information, please contact AWWA at @awwatershedsinfo or call 603 473-2500.
If you are interested inreceiving a landscaping plan and the labor to install the plan, or in receiving a plan you will install yourself, please print, fill out and mail this form to AWWA, 254 Main St. PO Box 235, Union, NH 03887
