Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005 The water has risen about a foot or more on Great East Lake, and the wind is creating high waves that are battering the shore and any dock and boats still in the water.  Many large pieces of wood, perhaps pieces of docks, are floating toward the dam.  The dam will not stop much of it, because it floats right over the top of the dam.
